How to Open Your Own Dropshipping Store with AliExpress (in 5 Steps)

    MAKE MONEY ONLINE
    dropship with aliexpress

One of the ways that I use to make money online from home is dropshipping. If you are looking to become an online entrepreneur, then you may want to consider it. In my opinion, it’s one of the easiest and most cost effective ways to start an online business.

As a matter of fact, dropshipping is one of the fastest growing online industries. Today, more and more people are looking for ways to become their own boss and achieve more freedom with their lifestyles. As  a result, many people are using eCommerce as their escape plan. Some are even using it as a way to fund their retirement.

What is Dropshipping and How does it work?

Now, you may be asking yourself, what is dropshipping and how does it work? Maybe like most people, you’ve heard the term floating around, but wasn’t exactly sure what it involved.

In the very simplest terms, it’s the process of listing a product in your store from a supplier. Once the product sells, the supplier ships the product to your customer from their warehouse. You never physically touch the merchandise. Actually, many of the top retailers like Zappos, Sears and J.C. Penny, have been using this method for years.

For a quick overview of how the process works, check out this video:

Why It's a Good Way to Make Money Online

Dropshipping is a great way to make money online for a number of different reasons:

    1. It’s simple to setup and extremely easy to get started.
    2. It’s an ideal business for newcomers, even if you have never made money online.
    3. There is no inventory involved, so you don’t have to worry about spending a lot of cash  upfront on products.Or storing products.
    4. No overhead – all you need is a computer and access to the internet.
    5. Vast array of products to choose from – almost every product you can think of can be dropshipped. Plus, you can sell a wide variety of products because you don’t have to worry about warehousing them.
    6. Easy to grow- you can grow as fast or as slow as you like.
    7. You are in control of your profit margins.
    8.  You are free and independent, you can run your store as you please.
    9. Flexibility- you can literally work the business from anywhere. You can manage your store from your bedroom, the kitchen table, your cubical at work, heck anywhere in the world!

Disadvantages of the Dropshipping Business Model

Although dropshipping is a good way to make money while working from home, it’s definitely for everyone. For one thing, it’s not a perfect business model. For every advantage, there’s a disadvantage:

    1. High competition- since it’s so easy to get started, you will find some niches more crowded than others.
    2. Can’t control quality of the product- from time to time, you may run across a supplier that sells poorly made products. Which could reflect badly on your store.
    3. Lower profit margins- in order to be competitive, in some case will need to lower your profit margins.

Of course, on the upside is, compared to starting a traditional business, you are still coming out ahead by opening your own dropshipping business.

What is AliExpress and Why Would You Choose It for Dropshipping?

    make money dropshippng with aliexpress

AliExpress is a gigantic Chinese base marketplace that brings manufacturers and sellers together from all over the world. Although, there are many online companies that you can use to stock your store, in my opinion, they are by far one of the best ones.

Here’s a Few Features that Make AliExpress Ideal for Dropshipping

    • 100% Free to Use unlike many other online wholesale companies, you don’t have to pay any fees to use the platform.
    • Easy to Start you don’t have to jump through any hoops to start sellingis just a matter of registering for a free account.
    • Wide Selection of Products– they have over 100 million products listed on their site, therefore, you can easily choose from any product category to start your store.
    • Competitive Pricing – since most of the sellers are overseas manufacturers, you will find that compared to most online wholesalers, their prices are very low.
    • Easy Shipping Optionssellers ship products to any country in the world. As a plus, you have the option of setting up free or express shipping. In fact, you will find many manufacturers offer ePacket services, which ships packages in 7-14 days.
    • Free Resources one of the coolest things I like about AliExpress is that most sellers have great pictures and products descriptions readily available that you can use on your website.
    • Generous Cashback Program–  allows you earn up to 12% cashback for purchases made on your dropshipping site. Once the products are delivered, part of the cost is deposited into your affiliate account. That’s extra money on top of your sales!

Setting up Your Business to Make Money Online

Before starting your dropshipping business, here’s a few things you will need to have in place. Keep in mind, not all of them are necessary right away, but you will want to put them in place as soon as possible, if you are serious about running your business for the long term.

    • a PayPal account– preferably a business account. If you don’t have one, you can register here for free.
    • an EIN number– Federal Tax Identification number. This is a free unique nine-digit number, similar to our social security numberassigned by IRS to businesses for tax reporting and identification purposes. You will need one if you decide to make your business an LLC or Corporaton. You can apply for one online here.
    • a Business Bank account- it’s a good rule to keep your personal funds separate from your private funds, especially for tax reporting purposes.
    • a Professional logohaving a professional logo gives credibility to your shop. You can create one for free on Canva. If you are unsure about your skills, you can always have one made for as low as $5 on Fiverr.

Are You Wondering "How Do I Start a Dropshipping Business"

As I stated earlier, it’s easy to start a dropshipping business. Actually, you can get started by following these 5 steps:

    • STEP 1: Decide on a Niche – this step is very important. You will want take your time and brainstorm niche ideas. As you know, there’s no way you can compete with large retailers like Amazon, so you will want to find products that cater to smaller shoppers like: model train collectors, pet lovers, knitters, bikers, etc.

Tip:  It’s a good idea to stick with ideas that are popular and you at least have a general interest in. That way you won’t get bored.  Moreover, you are more likely to be successful selling something you’re interested in.

    Here’s a few niche ideas:

    • Dog breeds
    • Fencing
    • Luxury items
    • Home and garden
    • Organic/Eco -Friendly
    • Grandparents
    • Art
    • Vegans
    • Vehicles
    • Boho- Hipster
    • Baking/Cooking/Grilling,etc.
    • STEP 2: Research Your Product Ideas- here you will be deciding what products you want to sell in your store. Basically, this step involves, searching keywords to see if people are looking for the products you intend to sell. For example:  if you plan to go into the yoga niche, you will want to research keywords like yoga mats, yoga pants etc.

To conduct your research, you can use sites like:

    • STEP 3: Decide on a Store Name/Domain –  there are a few things to pay attention to when deciding on a name. For starters, choose a professional name so shoppers will trust you and take you seriously.

Even more, here’s a few tips to help you with this step.

    1. Short and Sweet is always a good choice. Try to use a name with less words, that identifies with your products or is catchy and easy to remember.
    2. Go with a Personalized and Specific Names. For instance you can use your name or your city, For example: JonesPantsNYC.
    3. Buy a Established Domain. You can find pre-owned domains for sale on sites like Flippa, GoDadday auction, etc. The prices vary and depend on the value and age of the domain.
    4. Be careful and avoid names with symbols, hyphens, or anything confusing or hard to remember, etc.

To help you get started, you may want to use this free cool website to help find a name for your store, NameMesh.

When you are ready, you will want to go ahead and register your domain name.  I recommend NameCheap  or SiteGroundThey are two of the best online hosting companies. Similarly, they both have excellent customer service, and you can purchase domains starting from as low as $1.99.

Once you register your domain name, you will want to go ahead and set up a business email account for your store, like: support@yourdomain.com, yourname@yourdomain.com, sales@yourdomain.com, etc.

    • STEP 4: Register with AliExpress –  all you need to do here is register for a free account and apply for the affiliate program, so you can earn cashback.
    • STEP 5: Decide on a Dropshipping Platfom-   this is the software you will use to build and operate your store. Fortunately, there are many good affordable options.

Make Money Online Free: How to Earn with Affiliate Marketing Online

how to make money with affiliate marketing

Wondering how to make money with affiliate marketing online? Affiliate marketing is defined as the process of promoting another company’s products or services for a commission. In other words, you can make money by simply making recommendations to other people’s products.

In fact, it’s usually one of the first things people look into when they want to earn money online (myself included). Because affiliate marketing is such an extensive subject, in this post, I’m going to cover the basics.

    Advantages of Affiliate Marketing

    • You can start for free.
    • There are thousands of affiliate programs and products in different niches that you can promote.
    • You can join as many programs as you like.
    • It’s possible to earn a lot of money in a short amount of time.
    • Many people have become wealthy promoting affiliate products.

In my opinion, one of best benefits of using affiliate programs, is that its a great way to create passive income. You can make money while you sleep. In fact, many programs offer lifetime payouts.

    Disadvantages:

    • Affiliate marketing is extremely competitive.
    • Some markets are over saturated.
    • It can take a couple of tries before you find a good profitable product(s).
    • It may take a couple of weeks (or months) before you make your first sale.
    • It takes a lot of effort to create an income with affiliate marketing.

Getting Started with Affiliate Marketing Online

Affiliate marketing is an efficient ways to start making money online. For the most part, the approval process is generally pretty simple. Some affiliate programs may require you to have a website in order to promote their products.  While others may require you to submit an application to be as an approved vendor. This generally will include explaining how you plan to promote the offer.

Some programs may require that you have marketing experience, while many won’t. Actually, many programs have affiliate managers to help you get started.

    make money with affiliate products

    Here’s How the Process Works

Step 1: Register with an affiliate program

Step 2: Set up your profile, verify your credentials (email address, website, payment information, etc.)

Step 3: Decide which products you want to promote.

Once you are approved, you will receive your own unique affiliate. That will look similar to this:  link.http://www.jkincklvw.net/click-4240873-8955432 or like this: JOHNJONES4.

This is what you will use to promote products and offers. You can begin promoting offers as soon as you decide which platform you plan to use to sell products, i.e., blog, video, social media, etc.

     Types of Affiliate Marketing Programs

The most common types of affiliate marketing programs include:

    • Pay-Per-Click – This is when you place affiliate ads on your site and every time one of your visitors clicks on the ads you get paid.
    • Pay-Per-Lead – With these Affiliate programs, you get paid every time someone signs ups or purchases a product or service that you recommend.
    • Pay-Per-Call – This is exactly as it sounds. You get paid every time someone uses your affiliate link to call a merchant and purchase something.

Choosing an Affiliate Product(s) to Promote

A good percentage of companies have their affiliate programs on their websites that you can simply sign-up to.  A really easy way to find products to make money with affiliate marketing, is to join an affiliate network and  browse through their list of available opportunities. Many brand name companies like Walmart, Best Buy and Allstate Insurance use affiliate networks to manage their affiliate programs.

Some of the best known affiliate marketing networks are:

    Quick Warning

Because there is a lot of information online about how to make money with affiliate marketing, it’s easy to get confused and feel overwhelmed when you are trying to pick the best product(s).

This is what I can tell you from experience, don’t overthink it. It essentially boils down to common sense:

    • Choose products that fit your interest and your personality. You will get more enjoyment out of promoting something you have an interest in.
    • Choose products or services that people are willing to pay money for, i.e., weight loss, books, hobbies, etc.
    • Make sure the product/service/company is reputable. The last thing you want to do is recommend a crappy product or “scammy” company.

How to Make Money with Affiliate Marketing

On the surface, it seems like it’s easy to make money with affiliate marketing.   For the most part, it’s extremely simple. But it’s far from being an easy way to make money from home. This is something I learned the hard way.

It’s not just a matter of signing up for a program and then you just start promoting. To be successful, you will need to:

    • Have a solid structured plan in place to promote your products.
    • A good target market, i.e., baby boomers, stay at home moms, male college students, etc.
    • Learn how to promote products effectively.
    • Market your affiliate products consistently over a sustainable period of time.

make money with affiliate marketing with a website

Ways to Promote Affiliate Marketing Programs

There are many ways to promote affiliate products. Some of the most effective ways to make money with affiliate programs include:

    • Posting banners, ads and links on your website or blog.
    • Promoting your affiliate links on social media sites.
    • Recommending the product or service on related forums.
    • Making a video review and posting it on YouTube.
    • Running ads on Google, Bing or social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
    • Paying an Influencer to promote it on their network.

Each method has it’s pros and cons. If you are looking to create an income right away, then the best methods to use are: running ads or paying an influencer.

In order to learn more about marketing a product or service, be sure to read the program’s FAQ section first. That way you won’t waste your time or efforts.

How Much Money You Can Expect to Earn

The amount of money you can  earn varies widely. It can be as low as 2% or as high as 75%. On average, you can expect to make  20% to 50% commission with most affiliate programs. There are programs that pay higher commissions, offer bonuses or incentives.

For example: You promote a product that sells for $100. The commission rate is 70%. If someone were to purchase the product through your affiliate link, уоu would earn $70 commission.

    Key to Long Term Success

Affiliate marketing is a very lucrative way to earn money online. The good news is that there are plenty of products that you can promote and make money from.  By the same token, it’s not by any means a quick path to success. It takes a lot of hard work and persistence.

In order to make money with affiliate marketing online, you will need to be:

    • Creative
    • Flexible
    • And maintain a positive mindset.

Unfortunately, most people don’t understand this and give up to soon. When they don’t make sales, they quit, look for other programs and repeat the same process.

Get Paid to Talk & Earn Up to $25 per Call as a Telephone Mystery Shopper

Here’s another extremely convenient way to earn extra money from home- telephone mystery shopping jobs. Being a online mystery shopper is just like being a regular secret shopper, of course with the exception that all of the assignments are performed over the phone.

This is a great way to make some extra cash if you:

    • Are home-bound.
    • Live in a rural area.
    • Don’t have access to transportation.
    • Or just want a flexible way to earn money in your spare time.

    OVERVIEW TELEPHONE MYSTERY SHOPPING JOBS

The work is straight forward. It involves placing calls to businesses posing as a customer and evaluating your experience. The average assignment takes 15 seconds to 20 minutes to complete.

    Typical assignments can include:

    • Measuring the amount of time you were left on hold.
    • Evaluating how you were greeted by an employee.
    • Calling and inquiring about a certain product or service.
    • Reporting the number of times the phone rang before being answered.

    WORK SCHEDULE

Above all, this one is a win-win. You have the option of choosing which assignments you want to complete. Some assignments may require you to make calls during certain hours or only on certain days. But, other than that, once you accept an assignment, you have the flexibility to complete the assignment at your convenience (just as long as you submit the report by the due date).

ONLINE MYSTERY SHOPPER: HOW MUCH YOU CAN EARN

Telephone mystery shoppers are independent contractors. As with most online work projects, the fees vary widely. On average you can expect to make $3-$25 per call.

    For Example:

    • You accept an assignment to call a hotel and inquire about a room specials.  This assignment could take up to 15 minutes to complete. It pays $10.00
    • You accept an assignment to call an apartment complex posing as a potential customer looking for a two bedroom apartment. You will need to evaluate the leasing agent’s sales skills.  This assignment could last up to 30 minutes. It pays $18.00.

     HOW YOU GET PAID

Most mystery shopping companies offer direct deposit or pay via PayPal. There are a small number of companies that only pay via check.

The vast majority of companies that offer mystery shopping jobs pay once a month. There are a few that pay twice a month.  Very few (if any) pay weekly.  Before accepting a job, you can generally find this information in the FAQ section.

     DISADVANTAGES

    • If you are looking to earn more than $300.00 a month on a consistent basis, then you will need to sign up with several different companies.
    • Because telephone secret shopping jobs are preferred, the higher paying assignments often go very quickly.

5 Secret Tips to Earn $3000 a Month with Get Paid Surveys

    get paid surveys

This post is being published at the request of one of my blog readers. She wanted to know if it was really possible to make real money with online surveys.

Get Paid Surveys are one of the most poplar ways to make extra money online. Especially for beginners. For a couple of different reasons:

    1. Surveys are easy to start.
    2. You don’t need any special skills or equipment.
    3. The work can be done anytime, anywhere.
    4. It’s a relatively easy way to make money.

If you are unfamiliar with the process, this is pretty much how it works:

    DO PAID SURVEYS REALLY WORK?

Even though surveys are a legitimate and easy way to earn money online, here’s the problem with using get paid surveys- it takes a lot of effort to make a significant amount of cash.  For example, spending 3 hours to make $5 doesn’t sound that enticing to most people.

However, I recalled coming across a survey directory that claimed you could make $1,000 – $3,000 a month with paid online surveys. So, I contacted them. The site is called EliteSurveySites, it’s considered to be one of the best review sites for paid survey panels.

As a matter of fact, they advertise on their site, that they have helped thousands of people to earn as much as $3,000 a month taking surveys. According to them, “while it’s not possible to make a lot of money with paid surveys, there are many strategies that you can use to earn more cash.”

But, Don’t Expect to Earn Any More than $1,000 – $3,000 a Month

They even offer a Free eBook and a 7- day email training course.

    MAKING THE MONEY WITH SURVEYS

To complete my research, I downloaded a copy of their Free Paid Surveys Cash Guide It’s an easy-to-read comprehensive 70 page eBook that contains practical step-by-step instructions. Here’s an overview of what you will find in the book:

    • Exact Steps that You Can Take to Make the Most Money with Survey Sites.
    • How You Can find Legitimate Survey Sites that Pay More.
    • Specific Tips to Avoid Being Disqualified.
    • How to Avoid Mistakes that Most Newbie Make.
    • Advanced Strategies to Help You Make $3,000 a Month.
    • A List of Survey Sites that You Can Start Making Money with Right Away.

In addition to that, they guarantee that after finishing the book, you will know exactly how to make more money with get paid surveys sites.

All-in-all, I found the book easy to follow. It’s chocked with extremely useful tips. (Too many to list on a blog post). So I decided to summarize 5 of the tips I found to very helpful.

SECRET TIPS TO EARN MORE CASH WITH GET PAID SURVEYS

Secret Tip #1–  Setup a Separate Email Account Just for Surveys – Using a dedicated email account will help you stay organized and not miss new survey opportunities. As well as keep spam out of your regular account.

Secret Tip #2–  Start with Just One Survey Panel– Instead of registering with a bunch of different sites right away, you want to focus all your attention on everything that one survey panel has to offer. The strategy here is to learn how to squeeze as much money as you can from one survey site. You then want to take that knowledge and start using it on other panels.

Secret Tip #3–  Start Completing Surveys Immediately – Doing so will help you to build trust with the survey company.  As well as show them that you are reliable. Which in turn, will lead to them sending you more surveys to complete.

Secret Tip #4 – Complete Your Profile Fully –  Each survey panel is looking for specific groups of people to answer questions. By completing your profile fully, you are in essence, telling them about yourself, i.e., your likes, dislikes, hobbies, interests, etc. This will maximize your chances of getting offered more surveys.

Secret Tip #5 – Read Reviews from Existing Survey Takers- Getting reviews from people who are actually taking surveys, will save you a lot of time. As many panel takers like to share tips and strategies they have used to increase their earnings.

    CONCLUSION

Here’s the takeaway, yes it’s possible to earn $1,000 – $3,000 taking surveys. But it’s definitely not for everyone, myself included. Moreover, you will need to have the right attitude and be dedicated.

According to ElitesSurveySites.com, you can earn money online with paid surveys, if you fall into one or more of the following categories:

    • Have free time on your hand and you have a desire to make as much money as possible from surveys sites.
    • Work a job but you want to make some extra cash on the side.
    • Haven’t made money with surveys but you are ready and willing to try their hand at it.
    • Currently making money with online surveys, but want to earn more.
    • Joined a site and fell victim to an online survey scam.
    • Are registered with several survey panels, you know how to make money with survey panels or you consider yourself to be a “professional panelist.”
    • Think surveys are not a good way to make money.
    • Are looking to earn fast cash with surveys for a limited time.
    • Enjoy sharing your opinion and making an impact on society.
    • You have a genuine interest in donating to charity.

If you are interested in learning more secrets and tips to make $1,000 – $3,000 with get paid surveys, here’s the link to download the free eBook.  Best of Luck!

Become A Successful Freelancer: 4 Effortless Tips to Increase Your Freelance Income

how to make more money freelancing
If you are just starting out freelancing. Here's 4 quick tips to help you earn more money.

There are plenty of ways that you can approach increasing your income when you do freelance work. The internet is awash with side-gigs that can supplement your main income stream.

If your area of work is professional marketing translation, for example, it should be fairly easy for you to expand your services to include copy writing for websites, brochures and other marketing documents.

However, taking on additional work is just one way to increase your income. Another is to look at how you can maximize the income for the work you already do.

make money freelancing at homeTip #1

For example, when was the last time you increased your rates?  The cost of living increases every year, so make sure your rates rise in proportion to that. Otherwise you’re doing the same work for what is effectively less money each year!

Increase the fees to your clients as your ‘annual rate increase’ and you’ve set the stage for next year’s increase as well.

Of course, while having confidence in the value of your services is important, it’s also a good idea to know the right time to increase your rates. If a client is going through a tough time economically, think whether increasing your rate is the right move, or whether it might be better to hold off for a while.

On the other hand, remember that you can increase your rates at different times for different clients. So increasing your rates for one client at a later date doesn’t mean you can’t tell others that your fees are going up. Just be sure to give your clients a sufficient change of notice –  warning a month or so in advance of the change is likely to go down better than an increase that takes place immediately.

work from home and get paid legitTip #2

Another way to increase your efficiency and maximize your profits is to cram more hours into your work week. Doing so doesn’t have to mean giving up your evenings and weekends.

For example: You can start work 15 minutes earlier, finish 15 minutes later and cut your lunch break short by 15 minutes. This way you’ll gain an extra 3.75 billable hours per week.

That means an extra half a day’s pay every week for just a few minutes’ work here and there. If you can up those times to 30 minutes, you’ll be able to charge for an extra 7.5 hours of work each week.

    freelance work home jobsTip #3

Another strategy would be closing your social media accounts during work hours. This would essentially lead to more time available to work and thus increased income.  If you need to use social media in order to work (such as a freelance translator using professional translation groups on Twitter to find work), keep it open only for the time that you need. And be firm with yourself about closing it down  the moment you start looking at pictures of cats or amusing celebrity memes.

You could be using that valuable time to make more money instead!

Of course, one of the benefits of freelancing is that you have the freedom to use Facebook during work hours if you so choose – but remember that choosing to do so can cost you money!

how to make money online freeTip #4

Finally, if you want to increase your freelance income, remember that sometimes you have to spend money to make money. From buying in-house cleaning services, to ordering your groceries online, there are ways that you can free up your time in order to make more money.

Provided you can earn more per hour then you can well afford to pay for cleaning or shopping delivery services. Making such changes will help you to add more to your bank account.

Consequently, hiring a professional accountant also falls into this category. Although, accountants aren’t cheap, they can often find (perfectly legal) ways to reduce your tax liability and thus allow you to keep more of your income. In our view, that’s money well spent!

If you are looking for translator jobs from home, you can find a list of sites on this post.
